Can you trust your removal company?

It’s the million-dollar question when you are planning a move. How do you choose a removal company that will do the job properly, and that you can trust completely?

Top Tips

Fair Trading NSW has some top tips on choosing removal companies. Make sure the company you choose ticks the boxes:

Compare services to make sure you get a quality service for the right price.

This one is a no-brainer. Zoom Removals has a 4.6+ star rating out of thousands of independent Google reviews, product reviews, Yellow Pages and many more independent review sites. Remember too, that the right price is not necessarily the lowest. Some removal companies offer cheap rates, but your goods may be in pieces by the time they arrive.

Accreditation with Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA)

Zoom Removals is super-proud to be an accredited member of AFRA

Ask questions to find out about the service, such as the cost of the move and what is included, how long the move will take, if there are delays on the day, is there an extra cost for storage?

We are really proud of our versatile fleet of over 30 sparkling trucks, all fully equipped for safe handling of your goods. Our fit and keen movers really rock too! They are highly trained, efficient, fast, reliable and accredited by AFRA. All our services are explained and our costs are transparent. Ask us any question you like — we’re happy to put your mind at ease.

Ask for a written quote before hiring the company

This just makes good business sense. Our detailed written quote is based on an inventory of the goods to be moved, as recommended by Fair Trading NSW. We can help you draw up an inventory, or you can find a sample on the AFRA website.

Read the contract carefully. Ensure it contains complete details of the service provided; pickup and delivery addresses, dates and times of move; a household inventory list; details of insurance for any loss or damage.

No need to be wary of the fineprint with us! Out contracts are designed to protect you as well as us, so they are clear, concise, easy to understand, and they cover all you need and want to know about your move.

Ask about insurance. Removalists are not required by law to provide insurance for your possessions.

We literally do have you covered! Zoom has transit insurance, and $20 million public liability and workers compensation insurance are providedas standard with your move. You can also take outfull cover comprehensive insuranceif you want to as well. Did you know: by Law, Only AFRA members can offer you Full Cover Insurance.

Just call us if you have any questions at all.
